Fellowship
The Big Picture Sunday School class has for close to two years, gone to eat as a group after class on each second Sunday of the month. Today we took a trip to Nino's in Pelham for some fine Italian cuisine. We all really enjoy this outing because it is an extension of our classtime and we continue to fellowship. Many people sadly think church is the only place to fellowship, and while obviously that is a great place to do it, there are many others. Read Matthew 18:20 - "For where two or three come together in my name there I am with them". (NIV) Take time to fellowship and always do it with the Spirit of God in your heart.

AROUND THE CORNER
Fall and winter are just around the corner, and with fall comes - da da ta da - football. I thought this picture I just pulled off my sample pictures would get you in the mood for cooler weather. We could certainly use some. Keep in mind that football games are always fun and exciting but many times we stay up late on Saturdays and can't find time to make it to Church the next morning. God loves us even if we don't go to Church every time the doors open but ask yourself if you are doing God's Will by letting wordly events keep you away. This applies to many other things as well other than just football. Remember, God gave his Son for our sins and we need to always be mindful of how insignificant worldly things are. They won't matter after this life is over here on earth.

God's Beauty
Some people including myself have been heard to say - "I'm constantly amazed at what God can do". But, we shouldn't be, after all, it is God we are talking about. I'm never amazed anymore, I have come to expect no less than miraculous things. Look at this "dual" rainbow. It's there, up to the left. WHO ELSE CAN DO THIS. I snapped this photo the other day while I was working in my garden. This is just a small sample of God's amazing power.

Care Groups Formed
Well, we made it through the 4th and it seems that everyone is back in Sunday School again. The class has organized into 4 care groups to meet Brother Mike's definition of High Definition Sunday School. We invite anyone without a class to come visit us. We study the Bible and enjoy ourselves while we do it. Remember, you won't get to Heaven being a part-time Christian so get into class and live the life God wants you to.

July 4th
Finally, it is appropriate that the day we celebrate the date the Declaration of Independence was signed, July 4, 1776, comes on a Sunday this year. Our founders, in their wisdom, wanted to be sure we could assemble and worship as we please. That was one of the primary reasons they left their own country. May God continue to bless our nation and may our leaders open their eyes and do the right thing.
