Devotional Scripture for today: 2 Corinthians 5:10
“We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad".
“NO BETTER TIME”
“I have got plenty of time to make that decision,” he reasoned. “Maybe in a few years I will be ready to think about spiritual things. Right now I have got to get going and try to get my life in order.” You have heard reasoning like this before. Maybe you were one of those who postponed thinking about the Lord until “some better time.” What many do not stop to consider is that they are not guaranteed a tomorrow. That is the mistake the rich man made in Jesus’ parable. Only when it was too late and he was suffering the torments of Hades did he realize the importance of knowing Jesus as his Savior. Notice what the rich man asked Abraham. He wanted Abraham to send some sort of special warning or messengers to his brothers who were still living, so that they would not meet his same dismal fare. Abraham
replied, “They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them . . . If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead” (Luke 16:29-31). God has already given His Word to mankind, and He says it is sufficient. The heart that is already hardened to that truth will not be receptive to more. Now is the time to listen to what God says, not tomorrow or the

Psalm 10:17 “You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; You encourage them, and You listen to their cry.”
Devotional Scripture for today:
1 Thessalonians 5:11 “So encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
“ OPPORTUNITIES TO ENCOURAGE”Here is a question only you can answer: During a typical day, how many opportunities will you have to encourage other human beings? Unless you are living on a deserted island, the answer is “a lot!” And here is a follow-up question: How often do you take advantage of those opportunities? Hopefully, the answer is “more often than not.”Romans 14:19 advises us to “Pursue what promotes peace and what builds up one another”. An whenever we do, God smiles.Whether you realize it or not, you are surrounded by people who need an encouraging word, a helping hand, or a pat on the back. And every time you encourage one of these folks, you will being doing God’s will by obeying God’s Word. So with no further ado, let the encouragement begin.As you are rushing through life, take time to stop a moment, look into people’s eyes, say something kind, and try to make them laugh!
TODAY’S PRAYER:
Lord, You set the standard for generosity by giving up Your life for a sinful world. May I always be reminded of Your sacrifice when I see a need that I can fill or be encouraging to a friend, family member, or co-worker. Just as a farmer plants seeds and profits from the harvest, You also bless those who share their assets. Heavenly Father, help me to encourage out of a pure motive to bless those in need, not out of a selfish expectation of future rewards from You. I truly want to encourage others as You have so encourage me through Your precious Word of Life. Thank You for today’s encouraging words and may others be obedient and may they go forth and encourage others. In Your precious name I pray. Selah!

Misspelled Words
Darrell, whom I will refer to as Dad from this point forward, has always had an eye for the English language...as usual he caught what I like to call typos not misspellings. Anyway in my attempt to edit the two polls I was informed that I cannot edit because people had already voted in the polls. So I would like to let my Dad know that I meant to type "do" in both polls. Thanks Dad for always keeping me on my toes......

Welcome to The Big Picture
Well this is our class website (blog). I hope that you all enjoy it and feel free to comment, Ross you do not have too. Hehe!!
This is a big month for our class and the members. The Benton's will be finding out what "baby" is on Wednesday. Then the Hale's will find out on the 10th of December what their "babies" are. How exciting!!
Stephanie will get results from a HUGE test that she took for another certification. A lot of our kids have various things going on in their lives that are keeping us busy and most importantly we will celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We have our Christmas class party on the 12th. Then that following Sunday we are eating at Golden Corral for lunch. Busy month. Last year I took all of our toys into the Chick-fil-A in Pelham and donated them by pulling angel after angel off the tree. It was the most rewarding thing. I will just donate the items this year to the same thing unless anyone has different suggestion.
Well, I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is ready for a wonderful Christmas.
